LA AGENTE PALOMITAS Y EL MISTERIO DE LOS AJOLOTES
I feel very proud of this children’s book because it is a project we created as a family. Jesús, Inés, and I thought, debated, planned, wrote, and dreamed “Agent Popcorn and the Mystery of the Axolotls”… always together and always in a spirit of harmony.
Putting the fun and educational story of Agent Popcorn and her passion for Mexican axolotls onto paper was a wonderful experience. We also feel deeply honored that Volteletras Publishing (@volteletras) showed interest in our book and that María Serrano (@mariaserrano_illustrator) contributed her beautiful illustrations to our story.
The marketing process and the book launch brought us countless memorable moments. Agent Popcorn was not only presented in Zaragoza, but also in Madrid, San Sebastián, Pamplona… and even flew all the way to Colombia! We held dozens of educational workshops for children in rural libraries, public and private schools, bookshops, shopping centers, school fairs and parks. We also signed copies at the Madrid Book Fair and during the Book Day 2024 in Zaragoza. Some of our many adventures are captured here: @agentepalomitas
The book was reviewed by various media outlets, and we took part in several radio interviews for both national and local stations. The Mexican community in Spain also echoed the publication of the book. All in all, Agent Popcorn has brought us immense joy.
While all these activities were taking place, we watched our beloved daughter Inés learn to express her ideas, make decisions, take on responsibilities, overcome fears, successfully deliver public presentations, and connect with different cultures and social realities.
We have been incredibly happy to see Inés grow alongside Agent Popcorn. We hope she will always remember this unique creative and human journey she shared with her parents when she was 10 years old.
Me siento muy orgullosa de este libro infantil porque es un proyecto que realizamos en familia. Jesús, Inés y yo pensamos, debatimos, proyectamos, escribimos y soñamos “La Agente Palomitas y el misterio de los ajolotes”… siempre juntos y siempre en buena armonía.
Plasmar en papel la divertida y educativa historia de la Agente Palomitas y su pasión por los ajolotes mexicanos fue una experiencia maravillosa. Nos sentimos también muy honrados de que la editorial Volteletras (@volteletras) se interesase por nuestro libro y de que María Serrano aportase sus bellos dibujos (@mariaserrano_illustrator) a nuestra historia.
El proceso del márketing y la presentación del libro nos ha traído un sinfín de buenos momentos. La Agente Palomitas no solo se presentó en Zaragoza, sino también en Madrid, San Sebastián, Pamplona…¡y hasta voló a Colombia! Hicimos decenas de talleres formativos para niños en bibliotecas rurales, colegios públicos, concertados y privados, librerías y centros comerciales, ferias escolares, parques, firmamos ejemplares en la Feria del Libro de Madrid y durante el día del Libro 2024 en Zaragoza. El libro fue reseñado en diversos medios de comunicación, hicimos diversas entrevistas de radio para emisoras nacionales y locales y la comunidad mexicana en España también se hizo abundante eco de la publicación del libro. En definitiva, La Agente Palomitas nos ha traído muchísimas alegrías.
Y mientras todas estas actividades sucedían, hemos visto como nuestra querida hija Inés aprendía a argumentar, tomaba decisiones, asumía responsabilidades, superaba miedos, realizaba con éxito presentaciones orales en público, conectaba con diversas culturas y realidades sociales…Hemos sido muy felices viendo crecer a Inés de la mano de La Agente Palomitas. Esperamos que siempre recuerde este viaje creativo y humano que hizo junto a sus padres cuando tenía 10 años de edad.
